Biographies of Steve Jobs

Based on more than forty interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing. At a time when America is seeking ways to sustain its innovative edge, and when societies around the world are trying to build digital-age economies, Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination.Steve Jobs knew that the best way to create value in the twenty-first century was to connect creativity with technology. Steve Jobs built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable feats of engineering. Although Jobs cooperated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off-limits. He encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly. AndSteve Jobs speaks candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against. His friends, foes, and colleagues provide an unvarnished view of the passions, perfectionism, obsessions, artistry, devilry, and compulsion for control that shaped his approach to business and the innovative products that resulted. Driven by demons, Jobs could drive those around him to fury and despair. But his personality and products were interrelated, just as Apple’s hardware and software tended to be, as if part of an integrated system. His tale is instructive and cautionary, filled with lessons about innovation, character, leadership, and values. About the Author Walter Isaacson, the CEO of the Aspen Institute, has been chairman of CNN and the managing editor of Time magazine. He is the author of Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and of Kissinger: A Biography, and the coauthor of The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and daughter. Dylan Baker's films include Happiness, Along Came A Spider, and 13 Days. He starred on the TV series Feds and Murder One. Mr. Baker's theater credits include La Bete (Tony & Drama Desk nominations), Eastern Standard (Theatre World Award), and Not About Heroes (Obie Award). Read More......

Understanding God's Plan

Understanding God's Plan
"Sorry wrong number". SMS was entered some time after I send an SMS to a friend. The answer I received from a friend it makes me wonder. Why did my friend say the wrong number?
Feel bad, I sent an SMS to say sorry again. Then I want my name on the end of the SMS in the hope if it's true my friend's phone number, then he will realize that sends an SMS that was me. Pretty soon my phone rang. On the screen appeared a number of my friends. "Excuse me Mr. Andy, my name Wahidin. I work in immigration, "said the voice on the other side. Apparently these numbers are not my friend's phone number. After a few pleasantries I apologized and closed the conversation.

Nothing special about that event. I just wonder why can either record the phone numbers of friends. But a month later I received a text message from Mr Wahidin. After reminding me that SMS never stray into his cell phone, he then informed in a village in Subang was a little boy, age 9 years, which has to bear the pain because of an abnormality in the body. The boy had no anus. If the bowel movement through his cock. "Maybe Mr. Andy can help," wrote Mr. Wahidin while including your name, address and contact number of the child.

I said I do not promise, but will try to find someone who can help the child. After that, I send stories via SMS to the child of a head of a hospital in South Jakarta. The next day I got the answer, "Mr. Andy, I'm still in Italy. Can I get more complete data from the child? Arriving in Jakarta, I will discuss with team doctor. "

Two weeks later, a team of Kick Andy had to pick up the child and took him to Jakarta. The hospital agreed to perform the operation. For the first phase, will be created "sinkhole" in the stomach. After that just made the anus for permanent disposal.

Three days later, I received an SMS from the head of the hospital. "Thank God the surgery went well. Hopefully everything goes according to plan ". For a moment I was shocked to read the SMS. There is a sense of emotion that fulfill niche liver. "Lord, thank you," I muttered to myself. I really did not expect all went so quickly and smoothly. Even the hospital treating Ani is very special. Ani and his father all the needs for all items covered in Jakarta hospital.

At night I mused. Ah, if you think about God's plan is often difficult to understand the human mind. Includes hard for me to understand why I am wrong mobile phone number of my friends noted. It is hard to understand why Mr. Wahidin I know because a wrong number menginformaskan condition of a child in a village far away
small in Subang in need of help. Also difficult to understand by human reason response hospital willing to do free surgery. In fact, such an operation would require a large fee. Leadership of the hospital and even then I've just met and we just love to meet.

Human reason is not going to ever be able to digest the plan of God. God's plan is only able to digest through faith. Therefore, I believe all that happened was not something that happens. Since my friend's phone number one record, in fact God has "set" to bring me with Ani. Then via SMS "stray", the Lord put me in touch with Mr. Wahidin. Through Wahidin Mr. Lord told there is a child who needs help in Subang. Then God "commanded" me to contact the head of the hospital. Then everything ended with an operation by a team of doctors to Ani.

From the beginning, God has arranged everything for Ani. Mr Wahidin, head of the hospital, the doctors who operated on, and all those who helped - including me - just got a "duty" to help Annie. After understanding all that, I then smiled. "Thank you Lord, you have to include me to run a noble mission."

Windows8 Reviews

Windows 8 Reviews
Windows 8 offers an interface and experience a truly new for Windows users. However, for users of touch-screen gadget, the presence of Windows 8 is nothing more than follow the developments that era, in which the role of a keyboard and mouse were taken over by the touch and sweep of a finger.

After Microsoft released Windows 8 trial version for developers, two days ago, I immediately downloaded the file. I have used is a 32 bit Windows Developer Preview of 2.8 GB. Files ending in. Iso must be burned into the DVD first. Previously, I tried to install directly from the hard disk and flash disk, but stopped in the middle of the road. Installing this operating system must use DVDs.

The installation process does not take long. Only about one-third the time required to install Windows 7 that have previously been embedded in laptops. The green color will dominate the display during installation.

Installation is complete, users will be immediately taken to the Start page is no longer attached to the Taskbar. In the newest version, Windows Start Menu Start page transformed into elongated shades of green that is filled with the default application buttons. This is the entrance of Windows that is fully dedicated to the device touch screen. This view is immediately reminded me of the iPad who became my second device within the last year.

Please note, in this trial version, all applications (beyond the Windows default application) that exist in previous versions of Windows can not be used in this version, including Microsoft Office applications.

Due to Microsoft's latest operating system I use in Acer laptop, touch screen features can not be used. However, it does not matter, because Windows 8 can still be used on computers or laptops without the touch screen. To scroll to another menu, I simply roll up the page with your mouse or click the arrow button at the bottom of the Start page. While in the top corner, there is the user profile whose picture can be replaced by utilizing existing webcam.

Although the look of the Start Menu changes, Windows still maintains the old view that here referred to as "Desktop". Once you click on the Desktop menu, you will return to the old atmosphere, complete with pictures desktop, Taskbar panel, and the "Start" Windows logo in the lower left corner.

But, once again, the Start button will not remove a row of menu as in previous versions. When you click the Windows logo or pressing the Start button on the keyboard, you will be pulled back to the Start page. In addition, you can highlight the mouse to the left corner of the taskbar to bring up the buttons governance consists of the Settings menu, Devices, Share, and Search.

When it gets into Windows Explorer, I find the display a new menu that is more structured. I consider this view as the standardization of Microsoft Office 2010 appearance that, in addition to the Windows Explorer, also applied to the WordPad application.

To move to the previous application, you can still use the key combination Alt + Tab or Windows key + Tab (but animated Aero does not come out in this version). In addition, you can switch between applications by attaching the cursor to the left side of the screen. A minilayar will exit near the cursor which will take you to another application.

Top Features Windows 8

Windows 8
After the successful launch of Windows 7 in 2009, the company continues to rule the desktop.

This is the top 8 features Windows 8:

Touch-Friendly User Interface

Touch-friendly user interface
Microsoft has demoed a flashy new user interface filled with touch-friendly live tiles that show everything from the news to your social media updates. Windows 8 also supports full-screen HTML 5 applications on the desktop and the ability to switch between apps with a single swipe to the left or right.
“Tiles are better than icons,” Jensen Harris, director of PM: Windows User Experience, said in a demo video. “They have a little more space for the app to show its personality. Despite the slickness of the new OS, Microsoft may have a hard time convincing users that an interface that looks more like Windows Phone 7 than Windows 7 will work well on non-touch devices.
Fortunately, a traditional-style Windows desktop will be available for apps that require it.

Snap for Multitasking
Multitasking
By default, Windows 8 won't even have traditional windows as native apps will run full screen without title bars or minimize/maximize widgets. Microsoft's Harris demoed Snap in this Microsoft video.

Improved file copy feature
Improved File Copy
Windows' obtuse file copying function has been a minor annoyance for years. With Windows 8, Microsoft puts all current copy operations into a single dialog box where you can check their progress and pause/resume them.

ARM Processor Support
ARM Processor Support
Windows 8 will be the first Microsoft operating system to run on ARM-based processors in addition to traditional x86 chips from Intel and AMD. At Computex Taipei, Microsoft VP of Windows Planning Mike Angiulo showed that both an ARM device and a standard x86 PC could run the same piano playing application. He also demoed a notebook based Nvidia’s quad core Kal El CPU that could run Microsoft Office and print documents to a standard printer

Web Apps On The Desktop
Like HP with its WebOS and RIM with BlackBerry Tablet OS, Microsoft plans to
Wb Apps on The Desktop
support a new class of programs called “Tailored Apps” that will use standard web languages such as HTML 5 and JavaScript, but be able to interact with the hardware and file system. By supporting these well-known languages, Microsoft can attract an army of additional developers and, since these they run through a browser engine, compatibility across both ARM and x86 hardware platforms is assured.
However, we don’t know exactly how developers using Microsoft’s .NET framework and other popular programming languages will be able to build apps that work on both the ARM and x86 flavors of Windows 8.

Windows 8 App Store
Windows 8 App Store
With Apple adding a Mac App Store for to OS X and everyone from Amazon to Lenovo getting into the app store game on mobile, a Windows 8 app store seems like a no-brainer. Given the windowed appearance of this picture, we can only guess that this is either a fake, an early version or a version designed for Windows 7 users. We suspect that the final Windows 8 app store will have the same kind of tiled interface as other native Win 8 apps.

Native USB 3.0 Support

USB 3.0
Though USB 3.0 controllers and devices will work under Windows 7 with third-party drivers, Microsoft is building native drivers into Windows 8 and developing an efficient new USB software stack. Your blazing fast external SSD should work better than ever!

Kinect gesture control and other input methods
Microsoft hasn't announced support for Kinect-style gesture control, but long-time
Kinect Gesture Control
observers feel confident that when Windows 8 launches in 2012, it will be there. Windows Supersite's Paul Thurott told us he expects Microsoft to not only support gestures but all kinds of new input methods, including voice control and facial recognition.

Windows 8 Finally Released

Windows 8 at a developer conference
Microsoft formally finally released the latest operating system Windows 8 in BUILD conference attended by thousands of application developers in Anaheim, Calif., on Tuesday (13/09/2011). "It was like a different system," Sinofsky said that previously had experienced lead the development of Windows 7. "Fast, flexible, fresh, and full of energy," he said. In his presentation, he explained that Windows 8 will indeed offer a new experience compared to the previous operating system that supports full-featured touch screen and can be used in all kinds of good devices and tablet PCs.

From the side view, the operating system presents a fresh menu like Windows Phone 7. The first screen presents a collection of information directly from the applications in use and the menus are arranged neatly with a design called the Metro. From the start menu, its consumer can also directly access the list of friends in social networking and menus favorites sufficiently shift the screen with the touch of a finger.

This software also supports various hardware platforms. Unlike previous Windows versions that support only the x86 processor architecture, Windows 8 also supports the ARM chip that is widely used in tablet devices generally. Form of devices will be much more sleek and thin and will have a longer battery life.

Sinofsky ensure that all the software that runs on Windows 7 will also be used on Windows 8. Slightly different is the approach in terms of users to access multiple types of applications. Each day Dad worked about 10 hours and paid IDR 400.000
Every month an average of 22 working days,
Sometimes Saturday is overtime.
How much salary Papa? "

"If one day, Daddy paid IDR 400.000 / 10 hours, means 1 hour Daddy paid IDR 40.000 "

"Well, you're clever. Now wash your feet, keep sleeping yaa.." said Tommy
"Daddy, I may borrow the money IDR 5.000??" asked Dinda

My savings are less IDR 5.000, so I want to borrow from Daddy. " Dinda plain words

Tommy was silent. He lost for words.
The little girl hugged tight with emotion.

Gamescom: Five Upcoming Games 2012

"Lollipop Chainsaw" blends cheerleaders with zombies in a truly different
In only its third year, the gaming convention has quickly grabbed the attention of the global video game industry. Many game publishers now use Gamescom to debut brand new titles to the thousands of attending international media.

Here are five new games that debuted at the show that you'll want to keep an eye out for next year.

"Dishonored" (publisher: Bethesda Softworks; developer: Arkane Studios; Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, 2012)

From the creators of "Thief" and "Deus Ex" comes a brand new open-world adventure game. Players assume the role of the empress's bodyguard, Corvo, who's been falsely accused of murdering her.

The game is set within the steampunk city of Dunwall, which is fully populated with virtual characters (both good and bad) that gamers can interact with in unique ways.

The first-person shooter action game allows gamers to use guns and gadgets, as well as stealth and supernatural powers, to progress on a journey that will be unique for each player.

"WildStar" (publisher: NcSoft; developer: Carbine Studios; PC, 2012)

The massively multiplayer online (MMO) space has a new entry from one of the leading publishers. "WildStar" offers a stylized, cartoonish world that looks right out of a Ratchet & Clank console game.

The science fiction game should appeal to fans of Joss Whedon's "Firefly" as well as reigning MMO king "World of Warcraft." It's set on a mysterious planet at the edge of space, and players can navigate this world as an explorer, soldier, scientist or settler as they battle aliens and interact with other gamers in a vibrant fantasy setting.

"Escape Plan" (publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment; developer: Bugbear Entertainment; PS Vita, 2012)

This black-and-white puzzle game introduces a pair of humorous characters -- the skinny Lil, who can inflate to float through levels, and the rotund Laarg, who can break through walls. Players are tasked with guiding this duo through more than 50 puzzle-filled levels.

Keeping its tongue firmly planted in cheek, the developer celebrates every misstep with over-the-top deaths that will put a smile on your face. And the intuitive touch-screen gameplay should keep you coming back for more.

"World of Warplanes" (publisher/developer: Wargaming.net; PC, 2012)

When it comes to MMO games, free-to-play is fast becoming the standard over subscription-based offerings. Millions of gamers are currently fighting online in World War II-era tanks in Wargaming.net's MMO, "World of Tanks."

Come next year, the game maker will introduce a second game to the fray. "World of Warplanes" will feature more than 60 German, British, American and Russian planes, from pre-WW II biplanes of the 1930s to Korean War jet fighters.

Up to 16 players can take to the skies and engage in dogfights in one of three classes of planes: elusive single-engine light fighters, heavy fighters and strafing aircraft. Players will contend with ground forces as well as the unfriendly skies in this free-to-play MMO, which generates revenue through microtransactions to upgrade your planes for combat.

"Lollipop Chainsaw" (publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment; developer: Grasshopper Manufacturer; Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, 2012)

The acclaimed Japanese developer behind Electronic Arts' recently released first-person shooter, "Shadows of the Damned," is blending cheerleaders with zombies in a truly different third-person action game.

"Lollipop Chainsaw" puts players behind the pompoms of cheerleader Juliet Starling, who's trying to survive in a high school overrun by the undead. Armed with athleticism (Starling has a full range of cheerleader attacks) and a chainsaw, players will hack and slash their way through zombies and assorted monsters -- most of whom used to be classmates or teachers.

The blood flows freely in this over-the-top action game, which comes from the minds who created games like "Killer 7" and "Silent Hill." Hollywood writer-director James Gunn ("Slither") is helping with the story line, which already serves up plenty of Mature-rated humor.

HP Pavilion p7-1010 Desktop PC

HP Pavilion p7-1010 Desktop PC

The HP Pavilion p7-1010 offers a few nice surprises desktop PC, including a quad-core CPU and a 1TB hard drive. this budget desktop is best suited to basic home productivity tasks like email, Web browsing, and light photo editing. It has room inside for future expansion, but you'll need to upgrade the power supply depending on what components you plan to add.

Design and Features
Most budget desktops are decidedly plain looking, and the p7-1010 is no exception. The black mid-tower case has a glossy black front panel with a four-slot card reader at the top that supports 15 different formats. Below that are two optical drive bays, one of which is occupied by a DVD multi-drive with Lightscribe etching capabilities (the other is vacant). Behind a sliding panel are headphone and microphone jacks and two USB 2.0 ports. A chrome HP badge adorns the lower left corner of the front panel.
You'll need a screwdriver to gain access to the interior via the removable side panel. Inside, there's a hard drive cage occupied by a single 1TB drive that spins at 7,200rpm. It'll take you a while to fill it up, but if you do, there's room for another hard drive as well as a 3.5-inch drive (you'll need tools for these components). Two of the four memory slots are vacant (it can handle up to 16GB of system memory) and there are three PCIe x1 slots and one PCIe x16 slot available. If you do plan to add a graphics card or more drives you'll likely have to upgrade the power supply first as the p7-1010 comes with a low power 250-watt power supply.
On the back of the system are DVI and VGA video outputs, four USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, six audio jacks that support 7.1 channel surround sound, and a digital audio output. Wireless networking comes by way of an integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi radio, a nice feature for a machine in this price range. The p7-1010 comes with a full sized USB keyboard and a USB optical scroll mouse, both of which are very basic but comfortable enough

Performance
The p7-1010 is configured with an AMD Athlon II X4 645 processor, a budget-class quad-core chip that runs at 3.10GHz. It also has 6GB of DDR3 RAM and uses an AMD Radeon HD 4200 to handle the graphics workload. Performance was typical of a low-cost processor. On the flip side, the p7-1010 needed a lengthy 5 minutes 44 seconds to complete our PhotoShop CS5 test, Don't be fooled into thinking that the embedded AMD Radeon HD 4200 will deliver game-worthy graphics; it doesn't. In fact, when it comes to frame rates, its performance is similar to Intel's integrated graphics solution. The p7-1010 managed only 8.5 frames per second (fps) on our medium quality Crysis gaming test. If you're looking for an entry-level desktop that'll serve as a second PC for school projects and other light-duty computing tasks, the HP Pavilion p7-1010 will fit the bill. Its huge hard drive provides plenty of storage for all of your digital content, and since it's Wi-Fi-enabled you can surf the Web wirelessly.

Android Captures Half the Global Smartphone Market

Google Android captured 48% of the smartphone market in Q2 of 2011, hitting an all-time high, according to a report by market research firm Canalys.
Android was the biggest driver of smartphone shipments in Q2, as Android-based smartphone shipments were up 379% year-over-year, coming in at 51.9 million total units shipped. Apple also fared well, with iOS overtaking Nokia's Symbian platform to rise from third to second place. Apple also became the world's leading individual smartphone vendor, stripping Nokia of its long-held leadership position.
The globe is a competitive market, and its lessons are applicable to the US market. Android is the fastest growing mobile platform as well as the most numerous. Digital advertising should begin to be seen as either being the same as mobile advertising or as subservient to mobile advertising.
Fortunately Android offers more options for app development than iOS does. This means the barriers to entry into the app market are lower for Android smartphones.
Agencies need to seize this lower capital need and platform growth as they designs campaigns.

Nintendo 3DS review

Nintendo 3DS
On the top, the 3DS has a darker metallic sheen with a glossy finish that's pretty eye-catching. A brighter color palette decorates the lower half of the 3DS, with a subtle change to the bottom scheme. Overall, the design looks very sleek, although if you hate getting tons of fingerprints on your gaming systems, the 3DS is definitely going to need a wiping cloth.
Where previous DS devices had all of the buttons stashed on the corners and right side of the bottom half, the 3DS boasts an entirely new layout. Having the Select, Home, and Start buttons at the bottom of the 3DS touch-screen is kind of weird, but actually pressing them requires a deliberate amount of force. By far, one of the biggest improvements with the 3DS is the sound system. Appropriately, the Nintendo 3DS boasts graphics that are better than other DS models. Elements in a game's heads-up display like the health bars in Street Fighter IV seem to float right up against the screen, and there's a distinct depth to the overall action. Without the 3D effects altogether, the graphics still look great, but don't expect the same sharpness on old DS games. Pixel-heavy ones like Pokemon Black and White look almost fuzzy on a 3DS, while games with 3D artwork like Final Fantasy IV don't look any worse for wear.
While the hardware is great and the visuals can be fetching, the 3DS has a huge problem in terms of energy usage. If you turn off the Wi-Fi switch, you'll get a couple more hours of power at best, but it's still a notable hindrance for a portable gaming system. With the way the 3DS is designed, you'll have to choose between long gaming sessions or being able to use wireless features like StreetPass and SpotPass Mode. If the background wireless is constantly "on," you'll run a bigger risk of running out of power at a bad time.
By contrast, the DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL can remain on standby for days at a time.
Strangely, this makes the 3DS impractical for long flights, car trips, and, well, anything that takes longer than a handful of hours. A smaller problem is the 3DS screen itself with the 3D effects on, you have to hold it at just the right angle and distance, even when you're standing perfectly still. Again, this makes the 3DS impractical for traveling. Make no mistake, the Nintendo 3DS has the potential to be a game-changer in a market that's tilted towards one-dollar mobile games, but the issues that come with the technology keep it from matching the hype it's generated.

New iPhone5 Rumors

Another week, another round of iPhone 5 rumors. This time, it's an apparent case for the unreleased phone that has Apple fans buzzing.
Mobile Fun, a British mobile-phone blog, has posted images of what it says is the design for a next-generation iPhone case leaked "from a Chinese case manufacturer."

Some Apple observers speculate that hole indicates a possible new location for the device's antenna, replacing the iPhone 4's much maligned side antenna.
"If these images are authentic -- and we have every reason to believe that they are -- then the iPhone 5 is a radical evolution of the iPhone concept, and a bigger departure from the iPhone 4 than previous case images have shown," the blog post reads.
As well, several other credible news outlets have said that the iPhone 5 will look largely similar to the current iPhone 4."

Another day, another iPhone 5 rumour. The design seems a little like an amalgamation of the original iPhone design coupled with the iPhone 4's. As far as the ergonomics and design are concerned, it looks like a pretty amazing iPhone rip-off, if it is, in fact that.
However, the earlier rumours of the phone having an edge-to-edge screen, a capacitive ‘ovaloid’ sensor or being a buttonless model seem to have been quashed with this new clone model.
Apple has been keen on making their devices leaner in order to boost the portability aspect of the devices. The end users would cherish using new operating system, iOS4.3 on new iPhone 5 interfaces on the go.
Apple will not increase the base price of its marvel device in order to keep the interest amongst its valued customers. Apple has opened up its app store for end users to submit apps pertaining to various categories.
Both free and paid apps are popular amongst the user base which thrives from the global frontiers. Apple is yet to officially disclose any information on the new iPhone. However, it would be interesting to note the release date of the best in class device keeping in mind the international interest and huge demand.

Iriver Story HD EBook Reader

Enjoy your favorite novels on this digital, hi-def book reader from iRiver. This device provides up to two gigabytes of memory and can accommodate an SD card. This device is Wi-Fi enabled, so you can access thousands of title from Google eBooks.
The iriver Story HD is easy to work with and has higher screen resolution than the Kindle.
If you want an e-reader with the best screen available, compared with the Kindle and Nook (not sure about Sony), without all the distractions of email, then the iRiver is an excellent option. I have already put lots of journal articles and textbooks on it via the USB cable, and also
bought a few books from the Google eBookstore, and everything so far has been seamless.
